Vacation

Hi, everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. With summer, comes vacation and my grandson, Andrew saw the ocean for his first! Here is the layout I created for his album...

                                                                        "Dream"

The layout was very simple to create...Let's begin!

  • a piece of sand cardstock was cut to a 9 3/4 x 9 3/4 square and matted in the center of the patterned paper.
  • Cut a coordinating piece 1/4 inch smaller and ink edges. Attach to sand cardstock.
  • Ink all die cut pieces

Layer strips of cardstock from the bottom up.

Die cut two(2) wave borders of your choice out of white cardstock. Ink one to change the color to blue and leave the other white.

Attach the white one to the top edge of anchor paper and trim excess. Layer the inked one slightly off center and trim off excess.

  • Color flowers and attach to the page.
  • Add Title statement with foam tape.
  • Add centers to the flowers
  • Add seaweed with shells at the base.

I wish you nothing but sun shining days ahead! Thanks for stopping by the blog today!

I love to use cameras and travel themes when I am needing a masculine card. Here is my contribution to the blog hop....

Sn@p!

I die cut the SVG from Treasure Box Designs using my cricut machine. (I decided to not use the trees and circle)

I inked the edges of the pieces and assembled

I used Navigator Paper Pack from Quick Quotes Scrapbooking Company. I cut the paper at 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, making sure to keep the continent intact.  I cut a circle out of the second layer of paper and used what remained.

I matted the Sn@p! onto a piece or coordinating paper and rounded the corners. Added brads to three of the corners and over laid a fussy cut circle over the fourth corner. I simple "Happy Birthday" phrase is stamped on the inside.

You have reached the END of the Blog Hop! I hope you had as much fun as we did!

Here's our line up in case you get lost along the way.

Good day, everyone!  Today I am sharing a layout I made using paper from Secret Garden. I found these two pictures of my son, Elijah, and his first tooth. Oh, how time goes by so fast! This chubby, cheeked little boy is now 14 years old and 6 feet tall!

"My First Tooth"

  •  To begin, I grabbed a green cardstock for my base.
  • Next, I layered my patterned paper in the center.

  • I trimmed two pieces of the celery green patterned paper from the collection at 1 1/4 x 12
  • I trimmed the green stripe from the striped patterned paper  and included the white on both sides.
  • Next, I trimmed the green stripe in half and glued one half to the bottom of the celery piece. Repeat, for the second green collection

  • I gathered my embellishments: teeth that were die cut and inked, cardstock phrase trimmed and inked.
  • I made my last embellishment using a SVG and cutting it using the paper from Secret Garden

  • I added a fishtail banner to the top and an arrow to the bottom of the layout.
  • A little ric-rac was added to the arrow before the completed title.
  • Add foam tape to title and attach

  • Finally, the inked teeth and cardstock phrase were added.

Secret Garden Paper Pack is such a universal collection. It is a must have for any scrapbooker! No matter the event...Secret Garden can help you get it scrapped!
Oh, what fun it is to go back and remember days gone by! Isn't that why we all enjoy this hobby?
Thanks for stopping by the blog today!

Hello, everyone from hot and sunny, Indiana!  This time of year is so busy with cook outs and bar-b-ques. I like to have a little card for the host of the party attached to my side dish when I attend cook outs. I love Quick Quotes paper, as it fits every event! Here is a couple of Fourth of July cards I made using Secret Garden.

                                                          "Celebrating the 4th of July"

****************************************************************************

  • I cut 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 pieces of red, white and blue paper from sheets from the Secret Garden Paper
  • I cut 1/4" strips out of the white and a 2 1/4 by 3 inch piece from the blue.
  • Attach the white strips to the red paper and trim off the edges

  • Punch 13 stars from the white paper
  • Dab ink on the stars
  • Glue stars in a circular fashion on the square of blue paper
  • Attach foam tape to the back
  • Adhere it to the top left corner

********************************************************************

  • Punch large and small stars out of scraps of red and blue leftover from the previous card
  • Ink the edges of the stars
  • Ink the red background
  • Stamp the stars and the circles with Barn Board and Deep Sea ink
  • Attach large and small stars with adhesive

  •  Take sentiment stamp and ink the top half with Barn Board and the lower part with Deep Dea
  • Stamp sentiment at an angle on the card

  • Attach to the card base
  • I added Pearl Pen in yellow for added embellishment

How cute will these be for my host or hostess as I hand them my side dish?
Ombre stamping is so easy to do using PowderPuff Inks. I hope I have inspired you to try it out. Hope you have a wonderful holiday!
