Inspiration with Harmony

Good Morning, everyone! Last week, I had the great opportunity to work the booth for Quick Quotes in Novi, Michigan. It was so much fun to set up the booth and see all the great product! The Harmony paper collection just screamed at me to take it home! It is a beautifully elegant, neutral paper pack with soft greens and creams...perfect for weddings and in this case...Coffee.

  1. I die cut the card base from kraft cardstock.
  2. I die cut the matting pieces from Harmony 101
  3. I used a coffee charms die to assemble the coffee accents.

  1. I inked all the edges of the card base with chalk ink.
  2. I repeated this step with the matting pieces.
  3. I then assembled all the pieces, adding a few flowers and leaves, as well.

With the leftover pieces, I created a very simple, universal card.

Club Q Inspiration

Hi, everyone! It's Rebecca, hosting today's blog post. Club Q is a wonderful way to receive monthly classes delivered right to your door. You can choose Layouts, Altered kits or the Ultimate Combo. Complete with fully illustrated instructions, you can complete projects very quickly and easily. You don't HAVE to follow the layout instructions...just let your creativity flow! That is what I did for the following layout.

                                                                   ******************

                                                                         "Spring"

                                                                     ******************

  • I chose to ink the white chipboard frames with Desert Sun.
  • I added my photos to the frames.

  • Next, I took the laser cut "hearts" and snipped them in half.
  • I rolled the half-hearts to give them added dimension.
  • Using a circle in the kit, I began to layer each of the petals as shown in the photo.
  • I used the larger "hearts" and filled in between the smaller ones.
  • I glued the last set from behind.
  • I added foam tape and the second circle from the kit, along with the white button.

  • I used the larger "hearts" and made a butterfly. Free hand cutting for the body.
  • I used the hearts in a cluster to make a different style flower.
  • I cut apart the green "hearts" to make more accent petals.
  • Finally, I drew petals on the scraps for larger petals. I chose to roll, add veins and ink each petal.

Here is each accent up close.

Mother's Day Inspiration

Hello, everyone! It's Rebecca hosting today's blog post. Mother's Day is right around the corner! Are you ready to shower your Mom with love? How I wish my Mom was still with me! She has been gone 9 and a half years and I remember her everyday. My Dad and her were married for 59 years. They raised 9 girls and 3 boys...I am the baby. She loved to garden and she loved flowers. The new collection, Secret Garden, is perfect to use for a framed gift for my sister, Juliet. She is 15 years older than I and has always been like a second mother to me. She is "Grandma" or rather, affectionately known as "Anknee" to my youngest son, Elijah. At age 13, he has just a few memories of my Mom.

                                                      "Blessed to call u Mom"

It is a very simple layout. I wanted the idea of pictures tucked inside a garden of flowers.

  • I cut a 4 inch strip of the celery green color in the collection.
  • I used a green cardstock to add a decorative edge and layered it behind the celery green strip.
  • I die cut decorative circles and matted my photos and inked the edge of the rectangle mat.
  • I fussy cut flowers from a second sheet and overlaid them on the matching flowers.
  • I die cut the title and adhered it the the celery green strip.
  • I add premade flowers and flourish pearls

I will place this in a 12 x 12 frame and give it to my sister for Mother's Day. She will love it! If you have your Mom this year for Mother's Day, you, too are blessed!
